JNESS THE ARTIST
In as much as I proudly came from a graffiti background and believe that oddity in design, has merit. Time spent as a Graphic Designer and an Illustrator have taught me that clutter doesn't work. This is the reason for my current approach. The human eye remains adolescent, a creation must hold the viewer's hand and walk them through the communication process.
As I redesign my website for the fourth time in 3 years, I have grown each time. I have had my fair share of tough clients, but I find myself to be the toughest voice of critique. Too much freedom is bad when applied to web navigation, style will shine through, but I believe it is more important to stay on target.
This is the place where the public can see my complete collection of BBW illustrations, PLUS-sized related art and projects. I've opened a new section in this gallery for posting BBW portrayals in the media (positive portrayals of course)Articles, photos, etc. If you spot anything interesting, please SHARE.
My history of BBW based web art began when I posted a web page entitled BBW_STALKA on BLACKPLANET.COM. I started doing photo web banners for friends on B.P. BIGGURL4U aka Kim and I became business partners and began designing web pages for people dirt cheap under the name ABRAKADABRA, a year later she passed away from cancer.
My friendship with her has been my continued motivation for pursuing the dream we shared creating art designs that would uplift the images and portrayal of people of size. Kim was a woman of standard, and I try to also maintain the views she had in typing in work I do.
I have decided to discontinue the quest gallery at SCARLETBBWART.COM. Since it is growing more and more difficult to keep the content current. However I will be sure to publish links of other artist to ensure the richness of your Internet experience when you pass this way.
I don't believe in websites that leave you in a dead end ' that would deem the site commercial even though there is some level of e-commerce going on at my site that's not my overall agenda. If you have a personal home page on Yahoo ' MSN ' Google, BLACKPLANET, MySpace etc. please feel free to use my art work to beautify your page and help make your positive statement about BIG BEAUTIFUL WOMEN and people of size. Please refrain from removing my logo and web address from my art.

Being confidant and having self assurance as a SuperSized BBW does not come overnight. It takes years of keeping yourself surrounded with people in your life who genuinely care about you as a person, and not the skin you're in.
It's funny I have not always been a large woman but as you know women of color tend to have a little thickness to them. Growing up I was of average size and over the years became a larger woman. The one thing my husband used to say about me is, "She may be a big girl......but she's cute"!!!. This was his response when the guys would give him a hard time about his love for plus size ladies.
My family has always been supportive as well as the friends I have in my life. I have a great personality, I'm very open about who I am and I am most of all okay with myself. I am a very good friend, I laugh so easily, great sense of humor, passionate in every thing I do. I think that is the one thing that lets people know that I am okay with myself being a larger woman so there is no need for them to feel any different about me.
I cry, bleed, laugh and love just like any other woman in the world......there's just a little more of me to love back!!!!
